Legal Disclaimer
Dockside Notary LLC provides professional maritime notarization services; however, it is important to note that our notaries are not attorneys and are not licensed to practice law. We are strictly prohibited from offering legal advice, drafting maritime contracts, or explaining the legal implications of your vessel documentation. For matters concerning maritime liens, salvage rights, or complex international shipping law, we strongly recommend consulting a qualified maritime attorney.
Our services are provided through a secure digital environment, and it is the signer's responsibility to provide a stable internet connection and a compatible device. Please be aware that fees are charged for the notarization attempt and the use of the RON technology; as such, a non-refundable technology fee may apply if a session is aborted due to failed identity verification or technical issues on the signer’s end. While our commissioned authority allows us to notarize for signers located anywhere in the world—including international waters—the legal venue for the act remains in Washington State. Finally, Dockside Notary certifies the identity of the signers only; we do not guarantee the accuracy, legality, or acceptance of the document’s content by third parties such as the U.S. Coast Guard or Port Authorities.
Privacy Policy
At Dockside Notary LLC, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and privacy for our maritime clients. To facilitate a secure Remote Online Notarization (RON), we collect essential Personal Identity Information, including your name, address, and other identifying information for Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA). During the session, our platform captures credential data from your government-issued ID and utilizes biometric facial recognition to ensure identity matches. Please be advised that, in accordance with state notary statutes, the entire audio-visual session is recorded and stored in our secure digital journal. This data, along with the contents of your maritime documents, is protected using encryption and is never sold to third parties. We retain these records for the legally mandated period of 10 years to ensure the long-term validity of your vessel transactions. By using our services, you consent to the use of these secure third-party RON platforms to verify your identity and finalize your documents.
